Disney Animals
As a Conservation Education Specialist within Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment, I was able to learn and grow professionally while also developing new skills.
While scientific research is not something I expected to include on my resume, I am very proud to have done this work and been part of something that truly is changing the world.
See below for work samples.
Disney Animals Educational Activity Packets
Working alongside The Walt Disney Studios, I helped to develop educational activity packets for children released in theme parks and online. These packets helped get children excited about animal conservation while also promoting upcoming film releases. Some of the films I worked on were Mulan, The One and Only Ivan, Frozen 2, and more! While I was most nervous about these projects when I initially accepted the role, it turned out to be my favorite part.
Disney Animals on Disney Junior
One of the most fun aspects of this position was scriptwriting for animal shorts featured on the Disney Junior Channel. From fact-finding and scriptwriting, all the way to directing, these shorts are something I am very proud to have been a part of.
I was nervous about attempting to write scientific facts into kid-friendly statements, but this helped develop my storytelling skills for any and all age groups.
Graphic Designs
Many of the projects are still underway, but taking the time to develop my graphic design skills was definitely a major plus for this position! I was fortunate enough to develop signage and various graphic designs featured throughout Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Though some of the projects are still underway, it is still exciting to see my pieces come to life.
