Seeking God for Your Word for 2026 & Why God Gave Me “Wall”
Finding a Word for 2026 is actually a very common practice. Many people look inward to see what they are needing in their life, focus on signs around them, and even meditate for clarity. As the new year approached, I decided to turn to God this year to see what His word would be for me. When I sat down to seek God for my word for 2026, I expected something comforting or clear.
Instead, God gave me the word wall.
At first, it didn’t make sense. But when I opened Scripture to 2 Chronicles 25:23, everything shifted. This verse describes the fall of Jerusalem’s wall — not as a random act of destruction, but as the result of leadership failure. The leader fell first. Then the protection followed.
In the Bible, walls are never just physical structures. They represent spiritual protection, boundaries, stability, and God’s covering. When leaders stop listening to God, that protection is compromised. When humility is replaced with pride, the wall comes down.
In this episode of the Faith for Autism Moms Podcast, I walk through the biblical meaning of a wall, what this passage teaches us about discernment and obedience, and why God isn’t always asking us to chase peace. Instead, we are told to guard the peace we’ve already been given. You will also walk away with tips on seeking God to find your own word for 2026!
