Finding Patience in God’s Presence
“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”

Happy New Year! Maybe you stayed up until midnight to ring in the New Year or maybe you found yourself waking up at 3am squished in your child’s bed helping them to fall asleep. However you started your year, I hope you feel the light of new beginnings.
This month, we are focusing on finding patience while waiting on God’s timing. God’s timing is never something any person can predict. As much as we may want to. And as parents raising children with disabilities, we NEED endless supplies of patience.
Our relationships are constantly straining as we feel ourselves having zero patience stored for our friends, spouses, or even ourselves. We are using every ounce we have on our kids and still losing our patience with our children. Well, God is here to help you. That’s what January is all about. Finding patience in the strength of God.
My prayer for you this month is that you open your mind and apply what you learn in Finding Patience. How patience comes from God and when you need a little bit more to get you not just through the day, but to enjoy your day, you can raise your head towards Heaven, ask, and receive this gift from God.
