Drowning in Disability Motherhood? God Will Rescue You.

You may have noticed a shift here lately. And while everything still focused on faith and disability motherhood, the focus is becoming more clear.

A slight change in language.
A deeper emphasis.

I don’t ever want to make a change without explaining why.

This space has always been for moms raising children with disabilities. That is not changing.

But as I’ve prayed, wrestled, and lived this life, I’ve realized something I can’t ignore.

This was never just about surviving disability motherhood. It has always been about rescue.

Not rescue from your child.
Not rescue from the diagnosis.

But rescue from what happens inside of you while you’re living in disability motherhood.

Because the hardest part of this life is not always the appointments or the unknowns.

It’s the pressure.

The quiet belief that everything depends on you.
That you have to hold it all together.
That your child’s future rests on your shoulders.

That pressure will wear you down faster than anything else.

And it’s not from God.

In Isaiah 46:4, God says,

“I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”

He did not ask you to carry this.

He asked you to be a mother.

That is the shift here.

Not away from disability motherhood.

But deeper into the truth that you were never meant to carry it alone.

Deeper into trusting the One who actually sustains your child.

Deeper into the reality that God is not asking you to be everything.

He is asking you to walk with Him.

If you’ve been feeling the weight of this—if you’ve been trying to hold everything together—I want you to listen to this week’s episode.
